Rules of origin decide the duty rate
Each agreement has its own origin rules for garments. Some require the fabric, or even the yarn, to originate in Vietnam or a member country; others accept cutting and sewing in Vietnam. That is why fabric sourcing has to be planned for the destination market from the start.
We plan sourcing for your market
At quotation we look at your import market and, where the tariff preference matters to you, propose a material route that lets the order qualify under the rules of origin. Where it does not, we source fabric on price and quality.
Documents and shipment
We prepare the export documents, including the certificate of origin (C/O) or origin declaration required by each agreement, and ship under the Incoterms you require.
Frequently asked questions
Can garments from Vietnam enter my market at reduced duty?
Vietnam has signed 18 free trade agreements, 17 of them in force, including EVFTA, UKVFTA, CPTPP and RCEP. Goods of Vietnamese origin can qualify for reduced import duties in partner markets, subject to each agreement’s rules of origin. We plan sourcing with your market in mind.
Which Incoterms do you ship under?
We ship under the Incoterms you require and arrange export documents, including the certificate of origin where your market offers FTA preferences.
Can you meet compliance and testing requirements?
Yes, on request. Common standards include OEKO-TEX®, REACH, CPSIA, EN ISO 20471, ANSI/ISEA 107, AS/NZS 4602. Testing is carried out by independent laboratories at the buyer's request.
